On a couple dates I did devote some time to checking a lantana patch behind the dunes around milepost (MP) 9 in Kill Devil Hills, and was also focused more on butterflies during a visit to Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary, Currituck Co. Giant Swallowtails were numerous, and other highlights were Eufala Skipper and Long-tailed Skipper towards the end of the week.
